Release notes
When will support end for older-generation models XR-3, VR-3, and Varjo Aero?
Varjo Base will have support for XR-3, VR-3, and Varjo Aero with software updates and bug fixes until January 1, 2026. You can still continue to use the headset with older versions of Varjo Base after the support ends, but it will no longer receive the latest Varjo Base updates.
For customers with XR or VR subscriptions, Varjo will continue to provide support services, including easy access to customer support and technical and developer assistance, until January 1, 2026.
We are permanently sold out of XR-3, VR-3, and Varjo Aero in the Varjo webstore, and production has been discontinued for these devices. We are now focusing our manufacturing efforts on the XR-4 Series headsets, our latest professional-grade virtual and mixed reality device.
We would like to extend our heartfelt gratitude to all our XR-3, VR-3, and Varjo Aero customers for pushing the boundaries of virtual reality together with us. We are as committed as ever to innovate and raise immersive experiences to new heights with our XR-4 Series.
