What is different in the XR-4 Secure Edition?

An overview of the additional security features included in the Varjo XR-4 Secure Edition

The XR-4 Secure Edition includes the following key differences compared to the standard XR-4:  

  • Always offline: The device is fully operable in offline environments, ideal for secure facilities where internet connectivity is restricted. No cloud connections are required, and no data is sent back to Varjo automatically. 
  • TAA compliance. U.S. Trade Agreements Act (TAA) compliant, ensuring trusted sourcing and secure manufacturing. The device is assembled in a NATO country (Finland).  
  • Non-RF option: The XR-4 Secure Edition is available in a non-radio frequency (non-RF) configuration, with all wireless components physically removed to prevent unauthorized transmissions
