My headset fails to connect with my Windows computer.

Please follow the best practices below when connecting your headset to your computer:

XR-4

  1. Disconnect the headset and all USB devices from your computer except the mouse and keyboard.
  2. Start your computer first before connecting the headset to the computer.
  3. Turn on your headset using the Power button.

If you still cannot establish a connection with your headset, consider the following troubleshooting steps:

  1. USB-C compatibility: Verify that the cable connecting your headset is plugged into a USB 3.1 Gen 2 or USB 3.2 Gen 2 port on the back of your computer.
  2. Switch USB ports: If the headset still fails to connect, try connecting it to a different USB port on your computer. Sometimes, switching ports can resolve compatibility issues or conflicts.
  3. Flip the USB-C connectors around 180° and reconnect them one at a time. Follow the steps below and check if the headset powers on without connection errors after each step. Make sure to power off the headset before disconnecting any cables:
    1. Flip the data cable that connects to the headset adapter from the headset.
    2. Flip the headset adapter connector.
    3. Repeat the first step.
  4. Update USB drivers: Keep your USB drivers up to date. Visit the website of your computer's manufacturer or the motherboard manufacturer to find the latest drivers for your USB ports.
  5. Update USB chipset: Ensure that your USB chipset is up to date. Check the manufacturer's website for any available updates or patches related to your specific chipset model.

Note: XR-4 requires a chipset that supports high throughput USB connectivity with multiple IN transactions. See the list of compatible Intel and AMD chipsets
