Do I need a Varjo Account, subscription, or license to use my headset?

The following table summarizes which headsets need a Varjo Account, subscription, or license:


XR-4 Series 

  • Varjo Account is needed, unless you have an activated Offline package. 
  • Varjo Base Pro license is needed to use the extended feature set in Varjo Base. See What is Varjo Base Pro?
  • Varjo Account is needed to download software from Varjo Account Portal. 


XR-3, VR-3, and Varjo Aero 

  • Varjo Account is needed to download software from Varjo Account Portal. 
  • XR-3, VR-3, and Varjo Aero headsets are no longer supported. You can continue to use your headset with Varjo Base versions 3.0-4.14. If you want to extend compatibility, read more about the Extended compatibility package for XR-3, VR-3, and Varjo Aero


XR-1 Developer Edition, VR-2 Pro, VR-2, and
VR-1 

  • Varjo Account is needed to download software from Varjo Account Portal. 
  • The support has ended for these devices. You can still continue to use them with older versions of Varjo Base.
