Go through these instructions one at a time if you, for example, encounter one of the following issues:
- My headset does not start.
- My headset shows an error message.
- Applications are not working properly.
Check connections in the following order
- Connect power to the headset adapter using the charging cable. Use the 60 W port in the 3-port charger.
- Connect the charging cable to the headset adapter.
- Connect the headset adapter to the back of your computer. The status indicator light in the headset adapter turns green.
- Connect the headset’s data cable to the headset adapter.
- Connect the headset’s display cable to the graphics card of the computer.
Note: Make sure that all cables are locked into place properly. - Press the power button to power on the headset and see if the issue has been solved.
Restart XR-4 and Varjo System
- To turn off your headset, press the power button until you hear a sound and the status indicator light blinks.
- In Varjo Base, navigate to Support > Troubleshooting.
- Next to 'Restart Varjo System', select Restart.
- After restarting Varjo System, press the power button to power on the headset.
Note: If you still encounter problems, repeat the restart at least three times before moving to the next step.
Restart your computer
- Unplug all connections from the headset adapter and the computer.
- Wait 30 seconds.
- Restart your computer.
- After your computer has restarted, start Varjo Base.
- Once Varjo Base is running, reconnect all cables as noted in Check connections.
- Press the power button to power on the headset.
Update the NVIDIA GPU driver
We recommend using the latest GPU driver version. You can download the newest driver from NVIDIA.
Check hardware
- Make sure that your computer has a chipset that supports Multiple-INs. See XR-4 USB compatibility for more information.
- Make sure that your graphics card meets the minimum requirements. See XR-4 System requirements for more information.
Run diagnostics
If you are still encountering problems, please collect diagnostics and contact Varjo Support.
- To run diagnostics, open Varjo Base.
- Navigate to Support > Troubleshooting.
- Next to 'Diagnostics', select Open.
- Follow the instructions in Varjo Base.
- Once you have run diagnostics, contact Varjo Support and give a detailed description of your issue.
