The headset gets warm during use.
It is normal for the headset to feel warm to the touch while in use.
If your headset feels uncomfortably warm, unplug the headset and let it cool down on a flat surface with the vents on top of the headset facing up.
In Varjo headsets, the device temperature is managed with active cooling that circulates the air and ensures the temperature inside the headset stays low and comfortable.
When the headset is powered on, it is possible to hear an audible fan sound. After the headset start-up, the fan usually spins at a lower speed. The fan speed is controlled automatically based on the device internal temperature.
The fan is designed to be on all the time. It has been designed to withstand even the most aggressive movements of motion platforms, so there is no risk of breaking the fan when turning the head or moving around. If the device internal temperature rises, the fan speed increases automatically.
If you believe there is an issue regarding the temperature of your Varjo headset, please submit a diagnostics report and contact Varjo support for further assistance.
