How can I check what license my headset has?

XR-4 Series

You can verify that your headset has an active Varjo Base Pro license in Varjo Base. To check if you have an active license:

  1. Open Varjo Base.
  2. Connect your headset.
  3. Navigate to Settings > Support > Licenses.
  4. Check the Varjo Base Pro license status.


If you purchased your XR-4 Series headset before March 25, 2025, you have access to the Varjo Base Pro features that were included in the Varjo Base 4.10 release. You can verify that you have access by checking that the features are available for your headset in Varjo Base.

When the headset is connected, the following Varjo Base Pro features are accessible in Varjo Base:

Third-party tracking plugins

Settings > System > Tracking

Note that this setting is only visible if you have the third-part tracking plugins installed. Read more about Setting up third-party tracking methods.

Eye tracking: Gaze dot

Headset > Toolbar > Gaze dot

Eye tracking: Log eye tracking data

Analytics window > Toolbar > Eye tracking > Log eye tracking data while screen recording

Disable Virtual desktop

Settings > Workspace > Virtual desktop

Disable Varjo watermark in recordings

Settings > Presentation > Watermark in recordings
