Release notes – Varjo Base 4.10.1

Varjo Base, release version 4.10.1

April 30, 2025
Supported headset models: XR-4 Series, XR-3, VR-3, and Varjo Aero.

Note: All listed items concern the XR-4 Series only unless otherwise mentioned.

This hotfix includes improvements and bug fixes to existing features:

  • Improved recovery from USB connectivity issues.
  • Improved the robustness of the headset adapter firmware update.
  • Reduced the CPU load when running Varjo hand tracking (Beta).
  • Fixed minor issues with the new Varjo Base user interface style.
  • Improved the headset status indicator light colors to be more distinct.

Known issues:

  • When using Varjo hand tracking (Beta), gestures like pinch and grab may sometimes work unreliably and you might experience a noticeable lag.
  • The view in the headset might stutter if the Analytics window is opened at the same time as hand tracking or depth estimation is used. However, the effect is expected to be less noticeable than with previous versions of Varjo Base.
  • GeForce 50 series GPUs are not officially supported until a compatible NVIDIA driver is released. (XR-3, VR-3, and Varjo Aero)
  • NVIDIA 572.60, 572.70, and 572.83 drivers are sometimes causing a "Something went wrong" error. (XR-3 and VR-3)
