Starting applications

Start recently used and pinned applications directly from the Applications panel:

  1. Locate the application in the Pinned or Recent
  2. Select the application.

Note that if you already have an application running it will be the first one in the recently used applications section and the card will be highlighted green. We do not recommend running multiple applications at the same time because it will affect system performance.

Thumbnails

Each application card on the Applications panel displays a thumbnail image of the application. This image is captured briefly after you start an application the first time.

To clear a thumbnail:

  1. Select the card menuon the application card.
  2. Select Clear thumbnail.

If you remove the thumbnail, a new thumbnail will be captured again the next time you start the application.

If you do not want any thumbnails to be captured, disable the thumbnails from Varjo Base:

  1. In Varjo Base, navigate to Settings > Workspace > Applications.
  2. Disable ‘Thumbnails for applications’.
