Resolution quality

Running immersive applications at full resolution can affect performance depending on your computer’s processing power and the application’s resource requirements. With the Resolution quality setting in Varjo Base, you can adjust the image resolution. This helps you find the optimal balance between visual quality and performance for your system.

Image resolutions

Image resolutions Varjo Base 4.13.1 and older

Navigate to Settings > Headset > Image quality > Resolution quality to adjust the resolution level. Use the slider to adjust the resolution value. The default value is 100 %. Higher values correspond to a higher resolution and better visual quality, while lower values improve performance by using a lower resolution.

Note that changing the setting might require you to restart your application. Varjo Base will notify you if your application requires a restart. Additionally, Varjo Workspace will use the new resolution the next time you restart Varjo System.

Image resolutions

The exact image resolution for each setting depends on your headset model and rendering mode.

The following tables list the minimum, default, and maximum resolutions. When you adjust the resolution quality, Varjo Base will show the exact resolution and pixels per degree for the value that you set.
