Extended face cushion for XR-4 Series

Varjo headsets come with an attached face cushion. You can replace the standard face cushion with an extended face cushion with side pads available in Varjo Store.

Note that face cushions are not interchangeable between product generations.

Changing the face cushion

Step 1.

Remove the face cushion. Make sure not to grab the cushion frame as it is attached with glue.

Step 2a.

Attach a new cushion.

 

 

 

 

 

 

Step 2b.

Make sure to align the center and both sides so that the cushion covers the hook-and-loop strips evenly.

Step 3.

Remove the protective covering from the adhesive.

Step 4.

Attach the adhesive to the light blocker on both sides.

Make sure the sides of the Extended face cushion are aligned properly before attaching the adhesive.

Step 5.

Return the silicone light blockers to their original position so that they cover the side pads.

 

Using the side pads

Ext-face-cushion_WEB_1024__v02__move_pad The side pads can be moved to find the best fit for your comfort, or even removed completely to accommodate multiple users. 
Ext-face-cushion_WEB_1024__v02__cut_pad The extended face cushion can also be worn with eyeglasses. To make more space for the eyeglass frames, you can move the side pads lower, or even cut out the top part completely.
