Chin strap for XR-4 Series (2026)
The chin strap is an accessory that you can purchase for your XR-4 Series headset if you require some extra support when using the headset.
Before you start, disconnect the headset from all other devices.
Overview
Included with the chin strap are a T6 allen key and a spare screw.
Installing the chin strap

1. Remove the back pad. Press the center rib on the back of the back pad to release the attachment pins. |

2. Remove the face cushion. Make sure not to grab the cushion frame as this is attached with glue. |

3. Attach the chin strap to the back of the headset. Use the provided T6 allen key and attach the back screw. |

4. Move the silicone light blocker and attach the chin strap behind it. Repeat the step on both the left and right sides. |

5. Reattach the silicone light blocker. Repeat the step on both the left and right sides. |

6. Reattach the face cushion. |
|
7. Reattach the back pad. Press the center rib and align the pins with the upper or lower attachment points. |
|
8. Adjust the chin cup. |
|
9. Adjust the length of the straps. |
|
10. Make sure the headset fits correctly. Use the adjustment lines on the straps to help ensure that the straps are the same length on both sides. The chin strap is correctly adjusted when the chin cup fits correctly on top of your chin, and the straps do not touch your ears. |
